Allan’s qualifications include proficiency in subcontractor scheduling, quality control, and policy development. His commitment to streamlining operations aligns with AKD Homes’ values, encouraging excellence within the work environment. Allan’s passion lies in creating lasting memories for people by building their dream homes, a dedication that extends beyond work to community involvement, including marriage counseling and non-profit activities. A sports enthusiast, Allan enjoys watching and playing soccer. Kalan Camero

General MANAGER

Kalan brings extensive industry experience and a management background from Menlo College. With over three years dedicated to AKD Homes, Kalan oversees the entire company process, ensuring quality, formulating strategic policies, and encouraging a commitment to exceptional results. Known for his ability to connect people and a passion for bringing unique ADUs to life, Kalan drives the team with a goal of selling 1,000 ADUs. Beyond work, he enjoys basketball, golf, and fostering collaboration by pushing others beyond their comfort zones.”

Jesica Rodriguez

PROJECT MANAGER​​

Jesica, our Project Manager at AKD Management, defines our mission to deliver exceptional construction services to the Bay Area community. With over a decade of industry experience, Jesica’s leadership drives AKD’s commitment to excellence in every project. Her hands-on expertise ensures that every endeavor, whether new construction, remodeling, or ADUs, is executed with precision and utmost care. Beyond her expertise in managing projects, Jesica promotes a culture of trust and reliability. She ensures that our promise of fair pricing, transparent service, and quality workmanship is maintained in every interaction. Jesica’s dedication to our customers’ satisfaction reflects AKD’s core values, where each project is handled with a personal touch, building not just structures, but lasting relationships based on trust and integrity. Daniel Vargas

PERMIT TECHNICIAN​

Daniel holds eight years of valuable experience in the Development and Construction industry. He leads the permitting process for ADUs and various projects, ensuring seamless coordination with clients, efficient payments, and effective communication with city and county departments. Daniel’s expertise crosses all construction levels, showcasing exceptional multitasking skills and a proactive approach essential for startup environments. His commitment to providing exceptional service aligns with AKD Homes’ values, leaving clients satisfied. Daniel’s passion for ADUs stems from their lasting significance in the construction landscape, believing in creating spaces cherished by clients. Daria Gomziakova

OFFICE MANAGER & PROJECT MANAGER ASSISTANT​

An enthusiastic Office Assistant at AKD Homes, began her career after university and brings over three years of professional experience to the team. While new to the construction industry, Daria is quick to adapt, showcasing exceptional organizational skills and a perceptive eye for detail. She actively supports Allan in his daily tasks, prioritizes communications, and adeptly collaborates with various departments, aiming to contribute her insights whenever possible. Daria is tech-savvy, passionate about ADUs, and envisions their potential for diverse applications. Outside of work, she enjoys ice skating, photo editing, and website creation. Her professional goals revolve around contributing ideas for company growth and inspiring colleagues to excel.

Luis Pineros

ACCOUNTANT

An accomplished Civil Engineer from Colombia, brings a diverse background to AKD Homes. With experience in project management and accounting, Luis handles financial documentation, manages payroll, coordinates payments to vendors, and ensures meticulous record-keeping. His commitment to encouraging a positive work environment aligns with AKD Homes’ values, driving collaboration and organizational excellence. Luis finds the construction industry a canvas for creative ideas, allowing his imagination to soar. Anayeli Molina

PROJECT COORDINATOR​

A passionate Project Coordinator at AKD Homes, brings a diverse background to the team. Originally from Mexico and now residing in California, With a history of excelling in sports during her youth, including swimming, soccer, and volleyball, she brings a disciplined and enthusiastic approach to her role. Currently pursuing a construction management certificate and aspiring to achieve a civil engineering degree, Anayeli plays a key role. Her responsibilities involve managing project logistics, handling quotes, scheduling site visits, and maintaining excellent client communication. With a commitment to delivering exceptional results, Anayeli finds her passion in the construction industry, witnessing how structures can transform communities. Beyond work, she finds joy in reading fiction, hiking with her beloved border collie, baking, collecting snow globes, and exploring new activities. Anayeli’s professional aspiration is to utilize her expertise to support non-profit organizations and make a meaningful impact on those in need.

Alin Martinez

PROCUREMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Alin brings a unique blend of experience and dedication to the team. Graduating from Brenkwitz Continuation High School, Alin has demonstrated a sharp eye for detail, specializing in ordering windows, doors, and appliances essential for ADU construction while efficiently managing repair service schedules. Fluent in both English and Spanish, her journey from Mexico to the US at the age of three enhances her perspective and contributions to our diverse team. Beyond her professional role, Alin reveals an impressive level of organization and dedication, seamlessly managing her role at AKD Homes alongside the responsibilities of being a devoted mother to her four-year-old son. Balancing professional commitments with personal interests, Alin enjoys camping and gardening and relaxes watching the intriguing TV show ‘Good Girls. Her ability to balance a demanding work schedule with her personal life stands as proof to her hard work and dedication.

Janelle Vargas

GENERAL DESIGNER

Janelle serves as the Principal Designer at AKD Homes, bringing a wealth of experience and creativity to the role. Originally from a small town in Kansas, Janelle relocated to San Francisco, combining her love for volleyball with pursuing a degree. With a remarkable 12-year tenure in high-end residential design, Janelle has become a driving force in ensuring each project reflects not only a high aesthetic standard but also a deep understanding of her clients’ visions. Proficient in tools such as Revit, Adobe Suite, Lumin, and 3ds MAX, Janelle’s expertise lies in crafting visually stunning and innovative designs. Her commitment to excellence is manifested in her daily dedication to providing the best, aligning seamlessly with AKD Homes’ core values. Beyond her professional endeavors, Janelle finds joy in the company of her dog, collaborates on a foodie Instagram with her husband, and appreciates the simple pleasures of going to the movies. Juan Plata-Gurrola

PROJECT MANAGER ASSISTANT AND OFFICE ADMIN​​

Juan Plata-Gurrola, leveraging his academic prowess with a B.S. in Management and Business Economics from UC Merced, holds a role as the Project Manager Assistant and Office Admin. His professional journey has been marked by a diverse range of experiences, from starting a candy business to conducting interviews and data analysis at Humu, and collaborating within the San Mateo County Libraries. This background has sharpened his skills in project coordination, data interpretation, and promoting strong communication channels. His responsibilities encompass an array of pivotal tasks, including overseeing project budgets, liaising with foremen, scheduling subcontractors and inspections, managing invoices, and executing administrative duties, such as estimate distribution and procurement management. Juan’s commitment to ensuring operational efficiency aligns seamlessly with AKD’s ethos, fostering an environment where successful ADU projects and overall company growth are paramount.

Nidhi Sharma

ACCOUNTANT​​

Nidhi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to AKD Homes. With a Master’s in Accounting, encompassing three years of accounting experience complemented by five years in the banking sector, Nidhi plays a key role in managing our financial records and budgets. In her one-and-a-half-year period at AKD Homes, Nidhi has demonstrated precision in financial management, utilizing QuickBooks to resolve accounting issues, managing payroll, and ensuring adherence to budgets while closely monitoring expenses. Her commitment to excellence aligns seamlessly with the company’s values, aiming to deliver exceptional results. Nidhi’s passion for the construction industry arises from witnessing the satisfaction on customers’ faces upon project completion, inspiring her dedication each day. Outside of work, her devotion extends to her family, driving her relentless pursuit of excellence to benefit both her professional ambitions and personal life. Josue Hernandez

SALES AND MARKETING ASSOCIATE​​

Josue was born and raised in El Salvador but moved to California at the age of 10. Recently, completed his Bachelor’s in Management and Business Economics at the University of California, Merced. Josue leads the promotion, planning, and execution of all sales initiatives at AKD Homes. His responsibilities involve a comprehensive range, from understanding ADU models and material packages to immersing himself in the A-Z Design-Build process. Josue actively generates and promotes sales leads, maintaining a perceptive focus on client engagement and relationship-building. His commitment to excellence is evident in his diligent sales data management and continuous market research efforts, aligning perfectly with AKD Homes’ pursuit of exceptional results. Josue’s passion for the construction industry, inspired by his family background, drives his dedication to AKD Homes’ unique full-service offerings. Beyond work, he enjoys reading, poetry, writing, meditation, family time, mentoring, fitness, and cherishing sunsets.
